The Native American Pow Wow is held at The Wells Harbor Park on a mid July weekend. This event is presented by the New Hampshire Intertribal Council.

For 2012 the Pow Wow will be held on July 21 and 22 starting at 9 AM each day.

The Pow Wow has a large and growing number of native American artists and skilled crafts people. Doris Neptune is shown here pounding brown ash into splints for weaving baskets. Baskets woven out of these thin strips of wood are incredibly strong and light weight. The fact that they are also beautiful can only be the result of the experience and skill of the weaver.
